Cardona Castle

Cardona is a town about 56 mi (90 km mi) northwest of Barcelona, on a hill almost surrounded by the river Cardener. The area in general was first settled in neolithic times, the town itself dates back to the middle ages. On a hill overlooking Cardona is the Cardona Castle, one of the most well-maintained medieval Spanish fortresses.
